WhO’S BEHIND THE strain show?
I’m Matt — and before the Strain Show was ever a YouTube channel, I was just someone who couldn’t stop thinking about this plant.
I grew up curious about how it worked, why it helped people, and why no one ever seemed to give straight answers about it. That curiosity turned into a passion, and in 2017, I made the leap and moved to Colorado to work in the legal cannabis industry.
Those years taught me more than I could have imagined. I worked hands-on with the plant, learned from experienced growers and professionals, and saw firsthand how cannabis was helping real people live better lives — physically, mentally, and emotionally. That’s when I knew I had to share what I was learning.
I started the Strain Show to give people real, trustworthy information about cannabis — from how to grow it at home, to the science behind how it works, to the hidden history that’s shaped its story.
What began as a side project has grown into something bigger: a community built around curiosity, education, and respect for the plant.
Now my brother Nick has joined me full-time, and it’s just the two of us running everything behind the scenes. Every video, every article, and every livestream is made with love for the community — and belief in what this plant can do.
WHY WE DO THIS
For decades, Cannabis was misunderstood — labeled dangerous, criminalized unfairly, and buried under decades of stigma and misinformation.
As a result, people were denied access to one of the most versatile and impactful plants on Earth.
We’ve seen the difference cannabis can make — not just for comfort or relief, but for quality of life. It can bring peace, clarity, connection, and healing in ways that are hard to put into words. But none of that happens without access to real, honest information.
That’s why I created the Strain Show — to give people the knowledge they deserve. No fear tactics. No confusing language. Just clear, trustworthy education for anyone who wants to understand this plant better — whether they’re growing for the first time, exploring the science, or trying to make more informed choices.
Because when people have the right knowledge, they can make better choices, have better experiences — and live better lives.
